For more information, please contact the parish office: 805-528-5319 or office cell 805-235-8803
Requirements:
The Choir is open to anyone who loves to sing or who plays a musical instrument that is portable and can be brought to the church, or who can play the piano in the church. Hymns are chosen by the choir leader to fit the liturgical schedule. The singers and musicians help bring the congregation more fully into the worship service, and make the liturgy even more meaningful.
Vocalists do not have to be professionals; we sing together, and every voice is a help. Anyone who loves to sing is welcome. We provide the songbooks and will help newcomers learn the hymns. Our aim is to enrich each service, and to have fun. This is worship, not work.
Musicians are truly needed. You do not need to be a professional or even professionally trained. Anyone with experience is welcome. We provide the sheet music for your instrument and help you learn the hymns. An informal audition is required, but if you can read music and play your instrument, we need you. Musicians are especially needed during busy liturgical times, such as Christmas and Easter. Even if you can't commit to a weekly service, please consider offering your services on an on-call basis, to help fill in when our regular musicians need to be away. Please - break out that instrument and join us. We need you!
