S.E.A.S. RESTORATION & REPAIRS AFTER FLOOD DUE TO BURST PIPES
4-30-2025 The electricians continued to work, but the work was not noticeable.  No photos taken.
4-29-2025 Electricians worked all day and plan to work on Wednesday as well. With the wiring complete they were able to install the heaters in the bathrooms for water.  They were also testing lighting and outlets.  At some point the carpenter came and hung the ambry door on it.  It is still missing shelves.  The carpenter also installed knobs and handles on cabinetry in the priest vesting area and the sacristy.    2:55pm
4-28-2025 The light above the sacristy sink area was noticed by staff.  5:34pm
4-28-2025 The electricians came today to begin a week of work at the church.  Included in this was wiring for outlets, preparation for the flash water heater in the sacristy, and flash water heaters in the men's and women's restrooms, GFCI outlets at the sinks in the bathroom, and some rewiring.  One of our electricians asked to be photographed as he shared a slick trick for sliding wires through wall conduits and other places:  He rubs liquid soap on the exterior wire protecter for about six inches to a foot from the end to ensure that glides quickly and without issue through walls and small passages. In the photo he is applying soap to the wire before sending them through the wall to his colleague.  Staff walk-through. 1:30pm
4-23-2025 Painters needed to take down electrical wires along the lower ceiling line across the back just above the last pews.  They are doing some touch-up white paint on that upper ceiling wall and inside the sacristy and vesting room.  They are also continuing to paint the wooden pillars.  (Note: The temporary 'sacristy' is on rollers and is currently at the back of the church while the community room is used for equipment from the Easter Kermés and the painters are working in the actual church sacristy.)   11:40am
4-23-2025 Staff walk-through in the morning.  Some cabinet doors were installed in the late afternoon yesterday.  The columns of wood at the back aisle are being painted.  Only one is done, but the painters are working on them and other white touch-up spots around the church.   8:50am
4-22-2025 Cabinet makers continued work today.  Staff walk through at lunch. They continued working throughout the afternoon.  1:19pm
4-21-2025 The cabinet makers installed doors to cabinets.  Staff walk through.  5:35pm
4-18-2025 The painter came today and worked for several hours to paint trim on cabinets and doorways, cabinet exteriors, and to patch and paint the hole in the wall near the ambry.  Please note the ambry trim has been painted too.  Cabinet doors were also delivered today after being painted at a remote location. The painter plans to return to work more tomorrow (Good Friday) 1:41pm
4-17-2025 The painters came today to work, which included filling in the hole in the wall near the ambry from the recessed fire extinguisher that was moved to the rear of the church.  Staff walk through at end of construction workday. 1:41pm
4-16-2025 The boards for the cabinets appeared this morning.  A few front facing boards, like that on the left side of the cabinet for the sacristy sacrarium and the upper cabinet, were put in place as well.     Long white boards we believe may be the front of the drawers for the long drawers between the two vestment cabinets in the priest vesting area.  Time will tell.  The painter and carpenter are expected on Thursday and Friday of Holy Week.  We will keep you updated.  11:26am
4-7-2025 Before lunch the electrician showed office staff how to operate the light for the ambry, which is not yet complete. The electrician also cut the electrical boxes for the sanctuary floor and installed the outlets. The cabinet doors were taken away supposedly for painting.  Cabinet drawers for the sacristy are deposited in the sacristy closet while the drawers for the priest vesting area rest on their sides in the main body of the sacristy. 11:05am
Over the lunch period the cement was poured for the walkway gap and salt thrown on top to create texture to prevent slipping. 2:06pm
The photo of that walkway with the cones is taken as staff checked that doors were locked.  4:13pm

4-7-2025 The electrician came to do some interior work and a crew began preparing the walkway that was cut out above the main waterline to the church. 8:53am

4-2-2025 Trim was completed, even door trip was put back up around family room door.  Cabinet doors were dropped off. 1:56pm

3-31-2025 By lunchtime the gold trim for the sacristy was nearly completed.  White wall trim for the niche wall was nearly completed as well.  The laminate for the family room had been laid out, measured, cut, and taken out so that the epoxy could be applied and cured over the break and ready after lunch. The dark wall trim was applied at the entrance area and other laid out in the vesting room.  12:23pm

3-31-2025 Temporary gold trim placed on the sanctuary area near the kitchen for the weekend Masses has been removed so that permanent trim can be placed.  Rubber guards at the bases of the ramps for the sanctuary have been glued down.  The dark trim needing to be put onto the walls along the back of the church and entry is being placed.  Laminate for the family room is being put down. 10:23am

3-29-2025 Carpentry and other work continued in the church today.  Even twenty minutes before the Saturday Vigil workers were sanding wood as volunteers set the altar.  Yet, Mass started on time. The photo is after the evening Mass with the altar prepared for the Sunday Mass with Sacrament of Confirmation and images hung on the walls.  7:05pm

3-28-2025  Photos taken after the crew finished the laminating and most of the gold trim on the altar.  It is not complete, but they wanted to finish before Stations of the Cross.  There was progress in the sacristy and vesting area.  More trim was added to the base of other walls.  Wire coverings were installed. 12:58pm

3-28-2025 Work at a standstill during lunch.  12:06pm

3-28-2025 Laminate continues to be placed on altar.  Trim has been added to the wall along the large parking lot.  Staff walk-through.  9:36am

3-27-2025 Laminate flooring covers three fourths of the altar floor.  The sacristy cabinetry shows more work done.  Covers for the wiring for the monitors and sound system are in the process of being installed as of the time of our staff walk through. 6:21pm

3-27-2025 Staff walk-through while work was in progress.  underlayment was prepared and laminate was beginning to be laid. Cabinetry work in priest vesting area and sacristy continue.  In the sacristy above the sacrarium sink the space above the had been sealed.  On the large parking lot side only, the protective base board had been applied.  2:07pm

3-26-2025 Staff walk-through showing all but one-fourth of the altar covered with underlayment, wall near entrance patched and painted with fire extinguisher relocated to the wall facing the church interior, the wainscot cap removed from both back walls of the church and re-painted, and a quick look at the sacristy sacrarium sink cabinetry. 3:47pm

3-13-2024 Extending the altar forward about a foot so that the electrical boxes can be extended upwards to keep them from ever being covered with standing water in the future. 11:00am

3-12-2025 With repairs completed to one of the Stations, the eight remaining stations were replaced on the church walls in preparation for this Friday's Stations of the Cross.  7:30pm

3-12-2025 Restoration of Stations of the Cross continued today (A couple were put up the night before.) while our office manager, Javier Soto Osorio waited for our contractor, Arnold Builders, and his crew to plan out the next phase of the repair project.  While Mr. Arnold was present, Javier and he disassembled the cross from the roof so that the cross portion could be taken so a new base could be prepared for it.  The base of the cross had abundant wood rot and was discarded. 12:14 pm

3-10-2025 Some of the cabinets like the cleaning supply room and this cabinet for liturgical items have been given new, raised shelving.  2:35pm
